Chicago Puzzle Club is hosting their first official USAJPA Sanctioned Solo and Pairs speed puzzle competition in Chicago! USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association (USAJPA) is a non-profit organization that creates a nationwide community for jigsaw puzzlers and establishes a framework for competitive jigsaw puzzling events.

For Solo division only: Competition times will count towards your Jigsaw Puzzle Association Rating (JPAR) ranking if you are a USAJPA member. To become a USAJPA member, click here. You are not required to be a USJPA member to compete in the Solo and Pairs competition.

*Note: JPAR is a calculation of your puzzling performance compared to average USAJPA member performance across each USAJPA/sanctioned competition within the last 12 months. More information can be found on the USAJPA website.

The Solo speed puzzle competition division will compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit (10:30am - 12:30pm). The Pairs speed puzzle competition division will have teams of 2 people compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5-hour time limit (2:00pm - 3:30pm).

The top 3 winners in each division will win prizes such as a trophy, puzzle, and gift cards. The 1st place Solo and Pairs winners will also win a guaranteed reserved spot into the 2026 USA Jigsaw Nationals competition in Atlanta, GA on March 27 - 29, 2026 (additional Nationals competition registration fee applies if winners decide to compete in the 2026 USA Jigsaw Nationals competition using this guaranteed reserved spot).

We will also have a table for an optional puzzle swap where you can take a puzzle in exchange for each puzzle that you drop off.
