The meeting will feature a few short talks introducing attendees to topics in financial research using the R and other Open Source languages. It will also provide a venue for discussions among Chicago R in Finance community members, including a few well-known package authors in the space.

Networking and discussing R and open-source quantitative finance will occur at the event and afterward among one of Chicago's nightlife spots.
