Welcome back useRs! Come learn and gain experience in our AI coding workshop using R and open-source with fun data analytics projects involving: Gold vs Bitcoin, R vs Python, Cubs vs White Sox!

With provided datasets and free pizza and drinks, huddle with fellow Chicagoans to build various analytical solutions (cleaning, aggregating, modeling, visualization, application, reporting) with popular AI tools and styles including:

  • Vibe coding: Use command line tools or IDE extensions to run agent-based LLMs to generate and edit code with natural language instructions
  • Canvas coding: Use web LLM user interfaces for an interactive coding window to generate and edit code with natural language instructions
  • Prompt coding: Use web LLM chat message threads to craft specific natural language instructions to generate, optimize, or debug code

Event will support hybrid participation.

Final participant presentations of AI-assisted coding solutions are encouraged with potential prizes!
