Observation-Based Play Group: Young Kids

This is a RIE-inspired play group for toddlers and young kids (18 months - 5 years old). It's an opportunity to practice the RIE respectful approach and build community and support with other parents who share a similar philosophy.

We will meet at Ted Lechowitz woods in the parking lot and then move to a wooded area in the forest. It may still be a bit chilly, so please dress warmly as the play groups meet entirely outdoors. I will have blankets and objects set out for children to interact with, if they choose.

I will be starting weekly observation-based play groups (RIE-inspired parent-child classes) that will run as 4-week series. I haven't officially launched the groups yet but this is going to be a trial run to work out any logistical kinks. This will be a trial run of the groups that will launch soon.

This play group will immediately proceed a play group for young babies so that, if you have both a baby and older toddlers/kids, you could attend both groups. We will also stay for a picnic lunch in the park after the baby group if you'd like to join us (starting at 12:30pm).

Note - I have a 4 month old baby and a 6 year old so will have someone there helping me to attend to them. I may need to step away to feed or attend to the baby.
