Walking and Hanging out at Jerome Huppert Woods

Details

Hi everyone, our next fun event will be a walk in Jerome Huppert Woods :)

At 6pm we will be meeting at Jerome Huppert Woods Forest Preserve to go for a walk along the trails. It will be a great time to exercise, make connections and enjoy our beautiful forests.

We will meet under the gazebo which is on the north side of the field. You will see it from the parking lot. At 6:10 we will start walking on the gravel trail, then we will turn left and walk along the river. If you are late, feel free to meet us on the trail or meet us at the gazebo at 7:10. At 7:10 we will do a closing circle.

Jerome Huppert Woods is a part of the Des Plaines River Trail, a huge system of trails along the Des Plaines River. It is home to many deer, birds, frogs and other animals.

The address is: Jerome Huppert Woods, N. Thatcher Ave, south of W Fullerton Ave. River Grove, IL 60171.

You will find the entrance on thatcher avenue. If you are coming from the north, you will pass Fullerton Avenue and the entrance will be on your right after about 60 meters. If you are traveling from the south, you will pass North Avenue, and the entrance will be on your left after a few minutes of driving.

This forest preserve entrance is easily accessible by cars and bikes, but more difficult to access taking public transportation; there are no sidewalks on the area of thatcher avenue that leads to the woods. Please use caution if walking alongside the road.

We will meet in any weather except severe thunderstorms, so dress accordingly.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
