Meacham Grove Forest Preserve Walk

We'll head out to DuPage County to walk the trails of this 300+ acre preserve.

Come and meet us in this lovely area of wetlands and other various habitats.

We meet near the parking lot before heading out on the Maple Lake Trail.

The group will navigate another trail to see another area before returning to the Maple Lake Trail. There are lots of marshy areas here with the birds you'd expect in that type of area.

The hike has some inclines so it will be moderately paced yet have some challenging parts to it. Not a full blown fitness hike but more so than a nature hike. The paths are nice crushed stone and the preserve is very clean.

Dress weather appropriately. Good walking shoes will do it here. Sun protection is also recommended as most of the walk is in wide open spaces without shade.
