Boy Band Night and Semple Band - Rockin' in the Park, Rosemont

These summer concerts at the Parkway Bank Entertainment District are super popular and usually PACKED! Music starts at 7:00 but bring a chair and please try to arrive by 6:00 to stake out space on the lawn or surrounding paved areas. Seating is required to be in rows, the lawn fills up quickly and no blanket seating or space saving is allowed. Look for my magenta bag chair with yellow flowers on a stick attached to the back. There are lots of eateries in the park for purchasing food and drink. Note: no pets or outside food and beverages are allowed.

THE BANDS:

THE BOY BAND NIGHT - "is the ultimate live tribute to the biggest boy bands of all time—delivering a high-energy, full-band show that recreates the moves, the moments, and the melodies that defined a generation. From Backstreet Boys and NSYNC to One Direction and Jonas Brothers, every performance is all-live, no tracks, and packed with fan-favorite hits." I attended this event last year, and they even threw in some Motown hits!

SEMPLE BAND - "Known for their diverse array of medleys that feature bands such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, 70’s Rock, party songs and even alternative/punk rock, each show is packed with variety and contrast that takes the audience on a generational tour of music genres. Not to mention, SEMPLE features several of their own original songs in almost every show!"

PARKING INFO: Parking is free with validation of your ticket at any of the venues in the park. Easiest way to enter parking garage is from Bryn Mawr (turn west on Bryn Mawr from Des Plaines River Rd. to get to the entrance). There will be several lanes going into the garage area. Take the ramp that goes upwards to the second level and then stay to the left to get your parking ticket, then turn left to find parking. (If you stay to the right at the top of the ramp and then turn right you'll be in the Muvico movie theater parking area.)
