Earth Day Community Bike Ride
Details
Come out and join me with the Forest Preserves of Cook County and our cycling community celebrating EARTH DAY!
We will start the ride at the Sauk Trail - Central entrance making the first 3.4-mile loop, going from both directions.... that's 8.8 miles!
DO WHAT EVER MILEAGE YOU CAN/ WANT.
8:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.- bike check and safety talk.
Port-potties will be available at the entrance and pavilion.
Parking is FREE
The trail is paved, hilly and has some nice curves.
Because it's an EARTH DAY event, if we see any litter on the trail, we will stop and either take a photo or remove it.
GLOVES and garbage bags will be available.
Have no fear....there will be some refreshments, and some THANK YOU sway afterwards.
Helmets are required. Please RSVP if you do NOT have a helmet.
The FPCC has a limited number to distribute; first come, first served.
ALL fitness levels (know thyself) and ages (children must be supervised by an adult) welcome.
