Plugins provide a myriad of functionality to a site from slide shows to backup solutions. But when you search for something that will tie into your Facebook account and get 100 choices, how do you know which one is right for you? How do you get support on a plugin? The answer of course is "it depends". Open source development is the wild west and finding the right solutions can be time consuming and tricky.
