What we’re about
Welcome Chicagoans - those who lived in Chicago, were born and raised, or just love Chicago. We'll meet regularly to network, socialize, and share stories of snow-filled winters! This group is for Chicagoans who are transplants to San Diego, whether you have lived in Southern California a few weeks, a few years, or a few decades. We'll get together for in-person (or virtual) social events and debate the best deep dish pizza.
Some of the events we may do:
Picnics
Hikes
History tours
Beach meetups
Dinner at local restaurants
We will get together or host events every 2 - 3 months.
There are no dues, members pay for their portion of any event.
This group is for anyone who was born in Chicagoland or ever lived in the Chicagoland area and has since relocated to the Southern California/San Diego area.
Group was started by Kristine Kappel. I moved to San Diego in June 2020 after nearly 20 years of living in Chicago. I created this group as a way to meet new people, make friends, and network while sharing stories of times in Chicago.
