Chicago-Style Food and Fun at Lefty's

Hi all,

This event has been such a success every year that I want to keep the tradition alive by starting off 2026 with it again. Note that the start time is a bit earlier than last year's. As I had mentioned before, I plan on moving the group away from Meetup and towards WhatsApp/Instagram. This will be the last event that I am setting up using the Meetup platform, but the group should hopefully remain intact and thriving. Several members have already joined the WhatsApp group, if you haven't done so already my phone number is 1-224-436-2908. Thrilled to rein in the 2026 year with you all and if you're new to the group welcome!

Join us for food and fun with other Chicago transplants who now live in San Diego!

Lefty's is excited to have us back! We will gather outside on the back patio.

Lefty's has a great Chicago favorites menu including deep dish and thin crust pizza, beef sandwiches, Chicago style dogs, and more! We will have a few pizzas ordered for the group and feel free to order/pay for anything else you desire (food/drinks) - the menu is delicious and will give you a great taste of "home."

LOCATION: Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria (Mission Hills location)
4030 Goldfinch St, San Diego, CA 92103. We will be in the back courtyard/patio area outside.

TIME: 2-4 p.m. Come and go as your schedule allows!

DATE: Saturday, Feb. 28

COST: Free to join us for socializing, please plan on purchasing your own food/beverages. A few pizzas and light appetizers will be provided for sharing!

WHO: We are a fun group of Chicagoans who now call San Diego home. Whether you have lived in San Diego a few decades or a few weeks, we welcome you!
