The goal of this in-person event is to establish a packing list for goods to be shipped to Haiti. [Limited to 10 attendees to comply to social distancing requirements]. Carry your face mask please!

Task 1: Tabulating the weight & dimensions of all cartons and plastics crates, number coding them and entering the data into a spread sheet.

Task 2: Quality control of previously fabricated pillowcase dresses. On some of the dresses the bias tapes holding the dress on the shoulders were selected too short.

Task 3: Book titles are to typed & looked up on Amazon.com.
Then the title, short descriptive book description, suggested age group of the reader are to be cut and pasted into a spread-sheet.

Task 4: Similarly to the book titles, the description of the donated podiatric orthopedic goods are to looked up on Amazon.com
Once found, the description and very importantly the price of every type of goods are to be cut and pasted into a spreadsheet.

Inventorying the water rollers.

Desired donations, if available, to bring to the event:

• Empty plastic milk bottle crates (Large parts of Haiti are deforested. Wood is in short supplies. Crates perfectly function as books shelves in the school libraries)
• Gently-used brass- and or string instruments (no problem if they are broken/damaged – a skilled repair technician in Haiti takes care of it)
• Gently-used braces (knee, leg, foot, ankle, arm or shoulder)
• Gently-used pillowcases & T-shirts (any color but WHITE please)
• Gently-used French-language children books (age group: totes to 6th grade)
• A camera, to takes digital snapshots and share them freely please later on

If you don’t mind, please bring with you:

• Measuring tape
• Folding chair and folding table (for your own comfort)
• Bottled drinking water (it will be warm this Saturday)
• Face mask
• Laptop PC or alike
