Let's Hike!

This is an all day hike, probably about 8 miles, starting at Mattheisen and then heading over to Starved Rock.

Bring a lunch and we will eat at the picnic pavilion at Mattheisen. Rain below 50 degrees will cancel the hike.

Expect some wandering and plan on muddy trails.

Dress in layers, bring rain gear for insulation, wear sturdy shoes and bring water and a snack. We will stop at the halfway point for a break.

Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome. I plan to bring mine.
