All:
I've duplicated the original event due to a problem with the meetup app for iphone. The original event will not load using the app on two iPhones I tested. Androids may not be impacted, I don't know. I can see the event using the web based version.

Please do not worry about rsvp or lack of rsvp. Its important for those who want to attend to be able to open the event! If you want to attend just show up.

Since you will likely not be able to use the app to show this event, I also attached photos of those who rsvp.

I've reported the problem to meetup but no guarantee it will be fixed in time.

Original event content is below:
We're partnering with Lake County Hikers Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/lakecountyhikers
and Traci Fein has shared details about her awesome event with me!

Members of Chicagoland Trailblazers Hiking Group https://www.meetup.com/chicagoland-trailblazers-hiking-group/events/316730795 are also included in my guest rsvp.

Independence Grove is free to enter and supplies free firewood. There are a number of firepits on the beach and a nice beer garden nearby. They also have food for purchase but we're welcome to bring our own.

If you want to bring something please post in comments. I'll bring a camp stove, couple of pots, paper plates and bowls, spoons, napkins.

I’ll also bring two gallons of chili from Caputos, sour cream and cheddar cheese. The plan is to heat it up ahead of time in a 9 quart dutch oven over charcoal. Once hot, we’ll set it aside and put wood on for the fire.

Beer is available for purchase but they don't want you to bring your own beer.

They do have some chairs to bring out to the beach but have your own chair just in case.

The end time is 6:00 for hike only. The beer garden closes at 9:00. That's the official end time for the event for those who wish to hang out for awhile.

Please join us even if you don't want to hike and just hang out.

Sorry, Dogs are not permitted at Independence Grove.

The hike is very flat and easy on crushed limestone or asphalt trails. Its actually more of a walk than a hike :)

Hope to see you there!
