This place has a tendency to get super crowded and I'm scheduling it for earlier.
This short hike will start out on moderate terrain packed dirt, narrow trails and lots of roots. It is heavily forested in certain sections. There are no elevation changes on this hike.
Eventually the trail alternates between grassy paths with short portions on the asphalt DuPage River trail.
It follows both the West and East branches of the DuPage river and is where the rivers meet. Views of the river are mostly from the West Branch. The east branch comes into view very shortly for some sections. The grassy trails have one side wooded and the other meadow.
