What we’re about
Chicago Inspiring Connections Outdoors is part of the National Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) network, an outings program of Sierra Club, contributing to the creation of more equitable outdoor environments by connecting youth with limited access to the outdoors with outings that promote wellness, exploration & leadership (i.e. hiking, camping, indoor rock climbing, canoeing & more). Volunteers who help plan, lead, and assist on outings; fundraising efforts; contribute to our community and bring their passion and skills make ICO happen! Volunteers must be 18+, submit an application and go through a background check before joining us on any outings (required because we work with youth via our community partners).
