SSL is the most common way of securing transactions on the Internet. But that doesn't mean that they are completely secure! There are some significant vulnerabilities that need to be addressed. In this presentation, Mike McCune of GPShopper will discuss what the weaknesses are, what needs to be done to fix them, and what to do in the mean time.
Bio:
Mike McCune has been in "the industry" for over 20 years, mostly as a Systems Administrator and Security Dude (official title). He has worked with many technologies over the years including IBM mainframes, Novell, Windows, UNIX and Linux servers. Mike currently works at mobile application maker GPShopper. His primary responsibilities are managing the company's security, SSL, and PCI (credit Card) compliance.
