Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) or their larger parent group, Targeted Attacks have garnered a lot of press lately. Yet the vendor community as a whole uses it incorrectly (maybe fraudulently) to spread more FUD and to endorse their Silver Bullet solution marketing efforts. Let’s discuss how the APT era has evolved, what’s ahead for those behind this and why no silver bullet exists to protect from these.
