Come join us at the Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Rally – Lockport, IL!

Join us for an evening of awareness, support, and community at the Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Rally in Lockport! Together, we can raise our voices, share stories, and show solidarity in the fight against breast cancer. This free, public event will be held at the Central Square Gazebo at Lockport City Hall, 222 East 9th Street, Lockport, IL.

What: Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Rally & Drum Circle
When: Thursday, October 16th, 2025 | 5:00–6:00 PM
Where: Central Square Gazebo, Lockport City Hall, 222 E 9th St, Lockport, IL
Why: To raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and support everyone affected by breast cancer.

Here’s what’s happening:

• Inspiring Guest Speakers: Hear from breast cancer survivors and health advocates, including Vivian Amos-Brown, Dr. Angela Riffice, and Barbara Chwierut, who will share their personal stories of survival, lifestyle changes, and prevention.
• Exciting Drumlines: VanderCook College of Music Drumline, Kaotic Drumline, and Carl Sandburg High School Drumline will lead a high-energy performance to “beat the drum” for breast cancer awareness.
• Community Connection: Join together with friends, neighbors, and supporters to raise awareness and stand in solidarity.

Bring your enthusiasm, your drum, or just your energy—and let’s make Lockport proud with a powerful turnout for a great cause!

Local Guest Speakers:

• Vivian Amos-Brown: Breast Cancer Thriver, Frankfort, IL – shares how a whole food, plant-based lifestyle helped her survive breast cancer and improve overall health.
• Dr. Angela Riffice: Stage 3 Metastatic Breast Cancer Survivor, Home Glen, IL – shares how lifestyle changes and integrative medicine helped her remain cancer-free for three years.
• Barbara Chwierut: Retired speech-language pathologist passionate about whole food, plant-based living and long-term health.
