All About the Power BI / Fabric MCP

MCPs (Model Context Protocol servers) let AI agents like Claude and Copilot work directly against your models and your tenant. The Semantic Model MCP can create and edit measures, columns, and relationships, run DAX queries, and make bulk model changes you'd never want to do by hand. The Fabric remote MCP reaches the rest of your estate: workspaces, lakehouses, OneLake files, and pipelines.

In this session, we'll demo both live and walk through how to build, manage, and automate your semantic model and Power BI work with them. You'll see how to get connected, what each MCP can and can't do today, and where they fit into a real development workflow. We'll cover setup at the start, so bring your laptop if you want to follow along, and bring your questions if you've already hit the rough edges.
