Full Design Using Power BI Desktop Bridge

AI agents can write Power BI report files in seconds. Whether the result looks right is another story: the agent builds blind, and you're the one catching every misaligned visual and broken render.

The Power BI Desktop Bridge (preview) fixes that. It's a local server that runs inside Power BI Desktop and gives AI agents like Claude and Copilot eyes on your report: the agent edits the report files, reloads Desktop, takes a screenshot of the page, and checks its own render. Write, look, judge, fix, repeat. Paired with Microsoft's new report planning, design, and authoring agent skills, that loop turns "make me a dashboard" into a real workflow: plan the pages, lock a design direction, build the visuals, and verify every render before you touch the canvas yourself.

In this session, we'll run the full loop live: connecting an agent to Desktop, planning and designing a report from a semantic model, watching visuals get placed and formatted, and seeing the agent catch and fix its own mistakes from the screenshots. We'll cover setup, what the bridge can and can't do today, and where it fits alongside the Semantic Model and Fabric MCPs. Bring your laptop if you want to follow along.
