Fashion-and-Arts Meet-and-Greet #1

Hello. Recently, I took over another Meetup Group called Chicago Fashion Connect, which I changed to Chicago Fashion Scene (https://www.meetup.com/ChicagoFashionScene/). Chicago Fashion Scene is by far the largest fashion Meetup Group in Chicago, just as Chicago Meetup is by far the largest Arts & Culture Meetup Group in Chicago. One of my goals moving forward is to bring together the fashion and arts worlds together, at least on Meetup.

We have a tremendous number of talented artists, musicians, designers, writers, photographers, and creative people of all types in Chicago Meetup. For years when the group was called the Creative Social Club, I have thought about how to more effectively activate that talent and do some actual creating. With Chicago Fashion Scene, we have a focal point for doing so. We want to do more things related to fashion, style, and the arts. Consequently, I am planning a Fashion-and-Arts Meet-and Greet at Araon on Thursday, June 20th, for Chicago Meetup and Chicago Fashion Scene.

If you are an artist, musician, designer, writer, photographer, or creative person of any type who would be interested in further applying your talent and working toward additional channels for your work, please join us. Araon (http://www.ara-on.com/) is a terrific venue and we have big plans for bringing the worlds of fashion and the arts together. We will talk about these plans at the meet-and-greet and hopefully we will have the opportunity to work together.
