⛪ Step Inside Bucktown’s History
We’ll go beyond the façades with two planned historic church interior visits—a chance to appreciate the craftsmanship, architectural details, and ambitious spaces that helped anchor neighborhood life.
Church schedules, services, and special events may affect our timing. A third interior visit is a possibility, not a confirmed stop.
Between church visits, we’ll follow Bucktown’s changing identity through its immigrant heritage, industrial buildings, neighborhood gathering places, and unexpected architectural treasures. 🐐🏭🏘️

🐐 Why Bucktown?
Bucktown’s appeal lies in its layers. Church towers rise above residential streets, former industrial buildings find new uses, and familiar corners hold stories of immigration, work, faith, and neighborhood reinvention.
We’ll connect those layers as we walk—not just looking at buildings, but considering how people made a community around them. From “Goat Prairie” stories to the neighborhood’s creative identity today, there’s plenty to discover beyond the restaurants and nightlife. 🏘️✨
📸 Bring Your Curiosity—and Your Camera!
This isn’t a dedicated photo walk, but there will be opportunities to capture church architecture, historic façades, industrial conversions, and neighborhood details. Please respect any photography restrictions inside the churches.
