Digital Art Sketch/Demo

Details

Learn about how technology helps many artists with creating their pieces- from planning to execution, learn which programs and hardware digital artists use. 2-3 artists will guest lecture and demonstrate with a live model.

Please bring some artist materials for sketching and painting the model while other artists are drawing on computers.

I have hired a model for for $45 ($15/hr), so we will need everyone attending to bring $5 cash. Please have exact change ready!

Although we had wanted to hold the event at Vitruvian Studio, David and Mindy (the studio owners) are unfortunately going out of town. I've switched the location to the cafe area of the language school where I work.

Since we won't have easels to use - plan on bringing some drawing boards or your own sketch easel. I'll bring extra boards and portable easels I own. Some other suggested materials:

Painters tape or drawing clips

Graphite pencils/charcoal/pastel/oil pain/computer

Alcoholic beverage - to help us be more creative ;)

*I'm capping the RSVP at 20 max - since we need to have enough room to draw the mode- if you find out you can't make it to the event, please cancel your RSVP so other people can take your place!

*Free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the school. The school is near the Logan Square stop on the Blue Line, and near the Kimball, Diversey, Milwaukee, and Belmont buses.
