Product Breakfast Club (Virtual)

Topic: The Human Side of Product Management: Why It’s Harder Than It Looks
Most of what determines success in product management doesn’t show up in Jira, roadmaps, or specs. It’s not the tickets. It’s not the features. It’s the constant work of setting direction, keeping people aligned, managing expectations, and guiding a group toward a shared understanding of what matters. That work doesn’t have a clean output or a clear artifact. But when it’s missing, everything breaks: teams drift, priorities conflict, and incentives clash. This session is about the real job: relationships, alignment, judgment, and communication. How do you keep people moving in the same direction when priorities shift, incentives clash, and no one actually reports to you?
Breakfast Club is virtual. Put on your favorite robe and grab a cup of joe. It's a good time to share your experiences and learn from other product people.
Agenda:
7:50 - 8:10am: Join, Network, Introductions, and Announcements
8:10 - 9:00am: Discussion of the monthly topic
9:00 - 9:15am: Wrap-up/network
The Breakfast Club, which meets the first Friday of every month, is an informal gathering of product people interested in talking/learning about product development and networking with other product development professionals. You do not need to be a registered member of the PDMA to participate and there is no cost. Just RSVP and join the conversation. Log on/off anytime.
Join us on Zoom.
