Where is Gamora?... Who is Gamora?... Why is Gamora?... While this may have been one of the funny scenes from “Avengers, Infinity War”…these questions when asked of ourselves are anything but funny and can actually be life transforming! In fact, imagine for a moment that your favorite writer and director want to make a movie about your life and the entire movie will be written based on you answering just one question…”Who am I?”

How you answer this one question will ultimately determine the script for your movie, the story of your life. It covers every area of life including your relationships, finances, spiritual, health, career, emotional and personal. Answering this one question will reveal your identity and purpose. And yet, not answering this question, we are left influenced and programmed by society, deciding for us who we are and what our destiny is to be. Our lives can seem incomplete, lost, out of control and even feel meaningless.

In 2009 this is exactly how I felt, lost and meaningless. The recession devastated and altered almost every area of my life. My life felt meaningless having lost my business, finances and family. Had it not been for my Faith and a couple dear friends I may not be here today. For 3 months I was homeless by choice, afraid and embarrassed to ask for help. The real problem was that I had never really answered that all important question…”Who am I?”. So when life hit me with a left hook and knocked me to my knees, I didn’t have a strong foundation to stand back up on, let alone rebuild my life upon. Our identity and purpose are that strong foundation!

So how would your life be different today if you knew exactly who you are and what your purpose is? Can you imagine a life filled with confidence, courage, gratitude and joy? Having this type of strength attracts more of the same from others and the world around you. When your identity and purpose are aligned you call the shots, influence others and leave a beautiful impression on the world. You become the writer and director of your life.
