About us
Chicago Puzzle Club is a Chicago-based group with the mission to build and grow the jigsaw puzzle community in and around Chicago. We host various puzzle events throughout the year, including speed puzzle competitions, casual puzzle social events, and more!
All donations will go towards funding and creating our puzzle events (i.e. venue cost, refreshments cost, puzzle cost, etc).

Speedpuzzling.com: Super Saturday 2026 Mini Tourney #4 - Chicago

Eric from Chicago Puzzle Club will again be assisting Jonathan Cluff from speedpuzzling.com in running their Chicago division of the Super Saturday 2025 Mini Tourney #4 on January 31st! This is a scaled-down version of their State Championships with 4 separate contests (Solo, Pairs-Relay, Pairs-Traditional, and then Teams) and a puzzle swap for all attendees! Compete against puzzlers in 22 states (including Alaska)!
Chicago will see the return of the Pairs-Relay Contest! This contest was a hit at the last Super Saturday and consists of two people, completing two separate 200-210 piece puzzles at the same time, but switching every five minutes until both puzzles are completed.
Some additional Solos and Pairs-Relay seats have been added due to demand but are selling out soon.
What is a Super Saturday?
- It will happen when there is a 5th Saturday in a month.
- There are synchronized in-person contests in multiple locations.
- The same puzzle will be used in each location that day.
What is a Mini Tourney? It's a scaled-down version of the Speedpuzzling.com State Championship events.
- It has all 3 contests (Solo, Pair, and then Team).
- The puzzles are smaller piece counts to allow for shorter time limits.

Chicago Puzzle Club - Pairs Speed Puzzle Competition & Puzzle Swap - February 28

Chicago Puzzle Club is hosting a pairs speed puzzle competition in Chicago where individuals will compete to finish a Lunar New Year-themed 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5-hour time limit. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 pairs! There will be an opportunity to win door prizes.
We will have a puzzle swap table where you can take a puzzle in exchange for each puzzle that you drop off. If there are leftover puzzles, you can take as many as you want home.
Additional Information:
- Each ticket will cover one (1) pairs team and includes the competition puzzle, puzzle bag, and free snacks and drinks.
- Competitors can take home their puzzle used in the competition.
- The puzzle swap will be open at 1:00pm.
- Puzzle competition starts promptly at 1:30pm. For competitors who don’t finish the puzzle within the allotted time, remaining pieces will be tallied for the ranking.
- There is a free parking lot and street parking.
- There will be a chance to win door prizes.
- Must be 16 years of age and older to compete.
- Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
