Adopting FP: the good, the familiar, and the unknown with Colin Jones

Details
The Talk:
By and large, the literature around software craftsmanship and clean code has focused on object-oriented programming. With the rise in popularity and production usage of functional programming (FP), the problem of finding guidance on building maintainable, functional systems has become more and more pressing.
Over the past several years, we've learned a lot about building maintainable software with functional programming, beyond the usual FP elevator pitches. We've made our share of mistakes and have incorporated that learning into each new project.
In this talk, we'll look at some of the fundamental benefits of FP, ideas for architecting maintainable FP systems, and strategies to mitigate the risk of using new and shiny technologies.
