ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Kado-Ikebana is a contemplative art practice that reveals the relationship between nature, space and our own life force, and is based on the practice of meditation. The ultimate goal of Kado-Ikebana is not to make beautiful flower arrangements, but to expand our heart/mind, to be present in each moment, work with our obstacles and to develop respect and appreciation for ourselves, others and all life.

This weekend workshop, linked to our Friday evening flower arranging demonstration, is for both new and experienced students. There is a separate nonrefundable materials fee of $30 and materials will be provided by the Center. Space is limited to the first 16 fully paid registrants, per the instructor. Class size is small so that each participant can receive personalized instruction.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Marcia Shibata became a student of the Buddhist and Kado Way with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She studied the discipline in Japan from 1980-85. Since then, Ms. Shibata has taught Ikebana supported by meditation practice, both in North America and Europe.

Program Price: $200.00 + $30 nonrefundable materials fee. Materials will be provided by the Center
