Turkey-Free Thanksgiving: Vegan Potluck, Mingling, & Prizes!

Join us for our annual ChicagoVeg Thanksgiving event!
ChicagoVeg Thanksgiving potluck-style diner is a great opportunity to try a variety of unique dishes, save money, and be creative! It's an excellent way to celebrate the holiday in a circle of the likeminded people and make new friends!

WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE:

• Space for the potluck.
• Desserts donated by the event sponsors.
• Raffle prizes (Send a message via chicagoveg.com/contact if you would like to donate extra prizes).
• Some extra paper plates, plastic cups, plastic "silverware", paper towels

WHAT TO BRING:

• Beverages to drink/dish to share. It can be homemade or purchased (as long as you know all the ingredients and list them next to your dish). Must be vegan. Please spend $10+ for your dish. For our general vegan potluck rules: chicagoveg.com/veganpotluckrules.html
• Serving utensils for your dish
• A list of the ingredients for your dish (in case some people have allergies or special diets).
• Although we will supply them, we encourage you to bring your own plates/bowls/cups/utensils (to be more eco-friendly)
• Some cash to donate
• The expectation to have a great time!

LOCATION:

• We will be meeting at the Community room located on the first floor of 820 W. Belle Plaine Ave. building.
• There is a limited street parking on the surrounding streets around the building. Please allow plenty of time to find parking. Bike, public transportation or car-pooling might be a good idea.

We will announce specific donations, as well as more sponsors as we hear from them. Check facebook.com/ChicagoVeg for the announcements. Please send a message via chicagoveg.com/contact for your business to also co-sponsor the event.

TIME TABLE:

• 4:30 - Volunteers arrive to setup the space. (Please send a message via chicagoveg.com/contact in advance if you would like to help!)
• 5:00 - Check-in & Socializing begins. Please don't be late!
• 5:30 - Dining starts.
• 7:00 - Raffle Prizes Announcements.
• 8:00 - Event ends. Clean up.

COST:

• Entrance: $5 (On-line payments only). You will be required to pay during the RSVP process. You can use PayPal or can scroll down to Credit/Debit card payment option. On-line payments will end 24 hours before the event. $10 will be charged at the door unless paid $5 on-line during early registration. Kids (under 10) eat Free. Save money by paying on-line earlier as you can always get a full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before the event by sending a message to the organizer. No refund less than 24 hours before the event.
• Please bring extra cash to buy raffle tickets (one raffle ticket for every additional dollar donated).

The collected money will be used to cover ChicagoVeg expenses: Meetup fees, website hosting, room reservations, etc.
