For anyone wanting to make more of a day of it, we’ll be meeting at The Park Tavern from 12:30pm for lunch and pre-drinks before heading over.

The main meetup will be outside the main university entrance at 3:15pm on Saturday 27 June before heading into Voodoo 2026 together, and the festival finishes at 11:00pm.

Parking is also very reasonable at £1.50 for 24 hours, so it’s an easy one if you’re driving.

Voodoo is a boutique music and street art festival on the south coast celebrating underground dance music heritage, live music, art, and proper friendly festival vibes.

Expect soulful house, funky house, oldskool, reggae, dub, live percussion, street art, food, bars, and a really welcoming crowd.

There’ll be 5 music arenas, live art, performers, quality sound and visuals, plus the new Live Music & Eclectic Stage for 2026.

The optional dress-up theme this year is The Night Circus, but honestly I would not worry too much about following the theme exactly, even just wearing something colourful will do nicely if you do not fancy dressing up.

Anything with a Voodoo, circus, Moulin Rouge / cabaret, dark carnival, boho mystical, or Day of the Dead kind of vibe will fit well.

Even just a bit of face paint, glitter, feathers, jewellery, a hat, or a few themed accessories will do the job.

From what they’ve said, it sounds more like a Moulin Rouge / theatrical / eccentric festival vibe rather than needing a super specific costume.

For women, that could mean things like corsets, fishnets, feathers, lace, bold jewellery, flower crowns, dramatic makeup, or anything colourful and expressive.

For men, think waistcoats, braces, open shirts, vintage shirts, dark floral shirts, loose boho shirts, patterned shirts, military-style jackets, fitted black jeans, flared trousers, boots, hats, bandanas, rings, layered necklaces, sunglasses, eyeliner, face paint, or anything that feels a bit eccentric, mystical, tribal, voodoo, carnival, rocker, pirate, ringmaster, or old-school showman.

Personally I like the Day of the Dead kind of look, so even that sort of styling would work well.

Please make sure you’ve secured your ticket in advance before coming. https://voodoofest.uk/
