2020 Northeastern Poultry Congress!!

The best chicken and poultry show of the year! The NE Poultry Congress is coming! It takes place on Jan 18th and 19th of 2020! Mark your calendars!
Usually, the sales floor is open on the afternoon prior to the show and that's when I go. There is a hotel deal or two if you want to stay over, and loads of fun to have there, including raffles, (and they take donations of items for the raffles,) tabletop Serama judging, lectures about various things, crafts and other shopping, a lot of great chicken folks...and with birds galore! Jan Brett is usually there with her prize-winning Polish (she takes advance orders) and her beautiful books.
There is also a junior division for kids that might want to get involved in showing chickens.
It is fun all around and well worth the trip. I have the show book and entry form for people who want to show birds. You must have NPIP testing to show, so be sure to read all of the rules.

I hope that some of you can make this show because its very fun! If enough people want to go, we can meet there and see the beautiful birds as a group.
If you are intending to buy birds, be sure to bring boxes or carriers, feed and water cups, and some denaguard to give them in the water for the trip home. Be sure to ask if birds are vaccinated or take the chance that they may get mareks. Also check all birds over carefully when you buy.
