About us
Welcome to Chicks Who Eat, Drink, and Swear! This group was founded by 3 organizers because we wanted to meet chicks like us, i.e., down-to-earth women who won't judge for chowing down on greasy food, drinking too much, and dropping F bombs. The group transitioned to the current leadership a few years because we loved the community.
Women (by birth or identify) of all ages are welcome whether you're 25 or 55!
A few rules, because ya know, some just don't know how to act.
- Do not RSVP to events if you only have a casual interest. Only RSVP if you are genuinely planning to attend. Life happens and plans change. Remember to update your RSVP in a timely manner if you can’t attend. Do understand that for some events restaurants are booked and for some events, hosts arrive early to grab a large table. In every scenario, the event host requires an exact head count. By not showing up, not only you take the spot of someone in the waitlist but you also waste a table space in the restaurant for which the host might be fined by the restaurant. In casual settings, when you are a no-show, the host spends the entire time looking for you, instead of partaking in her event. We are tracking attendance in a rolling 6 month period of time. Cancellation within 48 hours prior to the start of the event will receive .5 points. A no show is 1 point. Earning 3 points is grounds for removal from the group.
- Even when you attend an event at a counter restaurant, you are required to order something. Do understand that table service restaurants issue a single check for the entire table. Splitting the check by running eight different credit cards on a table is extremely difficult for the staff. Plan to bring cash or pay via Venmo to the event host. And don’t hurry or fling your cash at the host while the host is splitting the check. Remember that hosts aren’t getting paid to organize events and aren't at your beck and call.
- Remember, waitstaff have to work harder to accommodate a large group. Have patience and be courteous. Don't be an asshole by skimming on the gratuity.
- This is a social group. Don’t peddle your services or products.
- Event hosts are not paid positions. We are all volunteers and like you, we do this because we want to get out and have fun. Sometimes events don’t go as planned and we need to be flexible. Please be courteous!
- I want to make this a fun environment! Feel free to make connections with others. The point of this is to develop friendships and you will do that by reaching out to individuals! After you meet someone, by all means, ask for their contact info and connect with them. But note, this is after you meet them in real life. Please don’t message people who you haven’t met in person.
- Not everyone will get along with everyone, but we are adults and can be civil . We aren't in high school. No Drama Llama!!!
- Lastly, have fun! That is the point of this group. Get out of the house and do exciting things and make wonderful friends!!!
And If you have ideas for activities, please let me know. Fresh ideas are always welcome!!!
I look forward to meeting you soon!
Thank you,
Jill, Marisa, Phing, and Carin

Country Night Line Dancing
Number 1 Broadway, 102 South Santa Cruz Avenue #B (Upstairs), Los Gatos, CA, USGrab your boots and join us for a fun, high-energy night of country line dancing that’s perfect for all levels—from first-timers to seasoned dancers at Number 1 Broadway. It’s a great mix of learning, dancing, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the class officially begins at 7:30 PM. Throughout the evening, you’ll be taught three different dances. The first dance is the most challenging, but the instructors take their time and really break it down so everyone can follow along. The second dance is usually a partner dance (partners rotate and are optional), and the third dance is an easy, feel-good one that everyone can enjoy.
Between lessons, the floor opens up for open dancing, giving those who already know the dances a chance to jump in while the rest of us watch, learn, or join when ready. It’s a great way to keep the energy up all night. There is a $10 cover charge.A quick heads-up that parking can be a challenge, so if you’d like to carpool with me, you’re welcome to join. I live in Willow Glen and plan to leave at 6:30 PM. Just message me if you want a ride.
Come ready to dance, have fun, and enjoy some country vibes—we’ll see you on the dance floor!I do not have a cowboy hat, but I do have cowgirl boots and look forward to wearing them!!!

Candlelight: Queen vs ABBA and Dinner at The Grill on the Alley
Hammer Theatre, 101 Paseo De San Antonio Walk, San Jose, CA, USJoin us for a Candlelight Concert featuring music from Queen and ABBA, performed by a live string quartet. Enjoy an evening filled with iconic hits in a beautiful candlelit setting. Come relax, listen, and enjoy a unique musical experience with the group!
Doors open at 7:45, but the show starts at 8:45. It is a 60 min show. The seats are first come, first serve so it will be a good idea to get there early. Let's meet in front of the theater at 7:30.
Before the performance, we can dine at The Grill on the Alley – a classic downtown San Jose steakhouse known for its white-tablecloth ambiance, leather booths, and top-tier steaks and seafood served with attentive service in a refined, old-school grill atmosphere. Dinner at 5:30 will give us enough time to walk over to the theater after.
I purchased my ticket in Zone E (Balcony) for the Sat, Mar 8:45 show.
