What we’re about

Welcome! The goal of this group is to deepen our understanding of what it means to live a life without children through shared conversation and community that empowers us to navigate and celebrate our paths.

What we're about
We're a supportive discussion group for folx who aren’t parents. Our events follow a simple format: before we meet, we read or listen to content (articles, podcast episodes, etc.) about life without children. Then, we get together for a guided discussion. Everyone in the group may suggest content/questions for our discussion.

Who we are
Our members share one thing in common: we're all navigating societal expectations and interpersonal relationships related to giving birth and/or caregiving of children. Some may be firmly childfree by choice, others by circumstance, and others still may experience ambivalence. If you relate to this, you're welcome to join us, regardless of your journey or reasons for living without children. We acknowledge that, in addition to societal expectations, health, gender identity, family situations, and structural factors like economic status, race, and immigration status can influence our self-determined family planning.

What we value
Respect: We respect each other’s journeys and lived experiences.
Empowerment: We support our shared reality of living life without children.
Reflection: We think deeply and mindfully about what it means to live without being a parent.
Inclusion: We welcome people from all walks of life and perspectives.
