About us
Childfree in Reading is a social community for adults in and around Reading who don’t have children — by choice or by circumstance — and are looking to connect with others in a similar place in life. We organise relaxed, platonic social meetups including coffees, pub nights, walks, games, meals, and occasional events. The focus is on connection, conversation, and building a welcoming community — without assumptions, pressure, or a “dating” vibe. The group is community-led, inclusive, and intentionally low-key. Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years, we’re about making it easier to meet people and make plans — without needing a babysitter.
