Castle Tap Beer Festival

The Castle Tap's annual beer festival is on and we're heading down on the Saturday evening. Expect a much bigger range than usual — they normally add a second bar in the back room and print a full menu with tasting notes. Live music too, so it'll be busy in a good way.

Come for one, come for four, drop in when you can. Plenty of cider, soft drinks and spirits if beer isn't your thing.
The Castle Tap is now community-owned — members raised £50,000 to buy the leasehold. Exactly the kind of independent Reading venue we like to support.
