Wallingford Circular Walk — 8.75 miles
A flat riverside circular from Cholsey, out along the Thames to Wallingford and back.
Meeting at Reading Station at 9:40 for the 9:53 train to Cholsey. We arrive at 10:10 and set off at 10:15 — if you're making your own way there, meet us at Cholsey station for 10:15.
We stop in Wallingford at the halfway point for a pint, coffee or a bite. If you've had enough by then, you can peel off there and head home — no need to do the full loop. Walking time is about 3.5 hours plus the break, so expect to be out most of the day.
What to bring: water, a snack, and boots you don't mind getting muddy. The route is flat but gets boggy after rain, and the Thames path can flood — we'll check conditions nearer the time and post an update here if anything changes.
Train tickets: buy your own. Worth asking in the chat if a few of us want to book together.
