Morning hike in Malibu Creek State Park to the M*A*S*H* site

Hi all, I'm excited to host another hiking event. This one was requested by a few members I talked to at other events so hopefully folks will be able to make it. Malibu Creek State Park is a lovely park with many different trails. It's also where numerous film and television shows have been filmed over the years.
Distance: ~6.5 miles
Elevation Gain: ~370 ft
Route: out-and-back (though we can make it a mini loop to the rock pools if we feel like it). There is not a ton of shade on this hike (just a few spots) but it's a relatively flat and accessible hike so most people should have no problem completing it.
This is an entry-level hike at a relaxed, group-friendly pace. We’ll take breaks as needed and stop to enjoy views along the way. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on hiking trails at the state park.
We’re starting early to beat the heat and crowds, plan to arrive on time. If you’re running late, the group will depart without you at 8:15am.
Parking: This hike does require a $12 fee, state park pass, or if you can, grab a state park pass from your local library (that's what I usually do). There should be plenty of parking in the parking lot for everyone. I am not going to try and organize a carpool but feel free to use this space to set one up with folks.
