Chill Coding Club -- Show & Tell ✨

Hey you!

Open up Claude Code or ChatGPT or Cursor or whatever, and build something. Anything.

A website, a game, a tool, a beautiful mess of code you don't fully understand. Then you bring it to the meetup to show it off and talk about it.

Welcome to our Show & Tell event!

Where you'll stand up in front of your peers and demonstrate something "you built" by basically telling a robot what to do while you sat there sipping coffee.

It's show and tell from elementary school except everyone's project is haunted and nobody can explain their code.

Schedule (Yes, We Have One) 📅
- [ ] 7:00 -- Arrive, Settle In, Contemplate Your Life Choices ☕
- [ ] 7:10 -- Quick Intros 👋
- [ ] 7:20 -- Show & Tell Begins (~5-7 min each) 🎙️
- Show the thing
- Explain the vibes
- Take questions
- Try not to cry when someone asks "but why didn't you just..."
- [ ] 8:30 -- Open Hacking / Collaboration 🛠️
- Keep working on stuff
- Help someone else with their stuff
- Start something entirely new because you got inspired and have zero impulse control
- [ ] 9:30 -- Wrap-up 🙇
- Plan next meetup before the motivation evaporates
- [ ] 10:00 -- Depart
We can actually stay after 10 PM. Time is a construct.
We have the space; let's use it!

How To Present (A Terrifyingly Simple Guide) 🙀

Each presenter gets about 5-7 minutes. That's it. You don't need slides. You don't need a rehearsed pitch.

You need:

1. What is it? -- One sentence. If it takes more than one sentence you're already overthinking it.

2. Show it working. -- Live demo. Yes, live. localhost:8000 is okay.
Yes, it might break. That's part of the fun. Watching software
fail in real-time is extremely entertaining.

3. How did you build it? -- This is the good stuff. What tool did you use?
What was your prompting strategy? Did you fight with the AI? Did you
surrender? Did you do that thing where you just kept saying "no, not like
that" for forty-five minutes until it accidentally did exactly what you
wanted?

What to bring

- 💡 Bring a way to show your project (work in progress is fine)
- 💻 Bring your laptop (after the presentations we're going to hack on stuff together)
- 💵 Venue Fee: $150 NTD
