NEW beautiful countryside walk from Cookley Green to Ewelme village circular

A new route starting from the beautiful hamlet of Cookley Green and heading down to Swyncombe and following the paths to the ancient and historical village of Ewelme. The village has quite an historical background and has a unique church with it's chequer - board pattern, the Almhouses nearby and also has the oldest church school (circa 1437) to be incorporated in the State system. Thomas Chaucer (son of Geoffrey Chaucer and his wife are also buried in the church).
After a lunch break here and a short tour of the village we take the return leg through the countryside following the Chiltern Way and meet up with Swans Way before heading down towards the church of St.Botolph with its medieval knights and Crusades link and then back to the starting point.
This is a moderate undulating walk (approx 9 miles, ascent 700ft ).
We shall have a short lunch break so pls. bring a packed lunch, snacks and water.
