River and Countryside Walk- Hambleden, River Thames and Woodland circular

Details

_(FREE car parking has been arranged in Hambleden village in a specified area).
Another opportunity to enjoy the pretty picturesque village of Hambleden combined with an enjoyable walk besides the Thames followed by a classic walk in the Chiltern woodlands.
We start from the village and head for River Thames to walk upto Medmenham Abbey before heading into the woodlands on the outskirts of Marlow to join the Shakespeare Way. We spend sometime here to view the site used to train troops during the Great War. The route then continues to provide further stretches of woodland and superb views of the area surrounding before returning to Hambleden.
This is a moderate walk (approx 9miles total ascent 510ft) but with some hilly sections.
We shall have a short lunch break so pls. bring packed lunch, snacks and water.
