Walk length 4.5 miles/7.2 km approx. Circular.
An interesting little summer walk from the hamlet of Piddington across the Chiltern countryside to the village of West Wycombe passing through a number of woods such as Great Cockshoots and Upper Dorrels Wood.
The village of West Wycombe close to West Wycombe Park and the West Wycombe Caves is impressive and contains houses dating back to the 16th century.
Meeting and transport
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/9/0/2/event_238646882.jpegMeet in the public Car Park behind the Dashwood Arms (HP14 3BH) for 6.45pm for the walk to start at 7.00pm sharp (see photo right). Please bring torches as we will finish at dusk.
There is no public transport for this walk, I would encourage you to seek other members who are driving.
