Lacey Green Windmill & Saunderton – Short Evening Hike
Details
Walk length 7miles/11 km approx. Circular.
A walk with a great variety of scenery, including sunset views across fields and hills from the small Chiltern Town of Princes Risborough to Lacey Green Windmill.
The walk should finish before 8.30pm however the time may be slightly earlier or later than this depending on the weather and pace.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A HILLY HIKE AND WE WILL NOT BE STOPPING MUCH DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS APART FROM A FEW WATER/SNACK STOPS AT THE TOP OF HILLS.
We can go for optional drinks at the end close to Princes Risborough train station.
Evening/night walks may be cancelled if conditions are not suitable and an update will be put up in the morning should this happen.
Cost
Meetup/organizer: £4 cash payable on the day (colin45@hotmail.co.uk).
Train:
Should be £18 approx with a group save or network railcard or groupsave discount.
Meeting and Transport
Meet outside Princes Risborough railway station for the walk to start at 6.00pm (after the train from London arrives at 5.57pm).
Transport
Car:
Car parking at Princes Risborough Rail Station is charged but free off road parking is available nearby (please check for any restrictions and leave enough time to park). This is a circular walk and finishes back at Princes Risborough Rail Station, we will go for optional drinks at the end close to the Rail Station.
Train from London: The 5.15pm train from London Marylebone gets to Princes Risborough for 5.57pm. Suggest meeting close to the WHSmiths at London Marylebone at 4.45pm to give you time to get tickets (may have to queue). See National Rail Enquiries
There are trains back from Princes Risborough to London till late so we should have plenty of time for the walk and the pub which is ten minutes away from the station!
The organizer will not be taking the train from London but will meet you at Princes Risborough Station.
