Seer Green, Chalfont St Giles and a Quaker Village

Walk length 7.6 miles (approx).
This is a lovely and quite gentle walk covering the Chiltern villages of Seer Green, Chalfont St Giles and Jordans.

We start off from Seer Green going across some great Chiltern countryside till we get to our mid point at Chalfont St Giles, where we will have a short stop. The walk from Chalfont St Giles then takes us past Milton's cottage (John Milton famous poet notable for 'Paradise Lost').

The final leg of the walk takes us to our final village of Jordans, famous as a centre for the Quaker movement during the 17th Century. Two sights of interest are the Jordans Friends Meeting House and the Mayflower Barn (wood claimed to be from the Mayflower), which we will try to see.
At the end of the walk we will stop off at a local pub, probably The Jolly Cricketers which is a real ale pub about half a mile from Seer Green station.

Transport
We start off from Seer Green and Jordans station at 10.30am.
Car: There is car parking at the station, but it is not free on a Sunday. Seer Green village has various free street parking that you can use a short walk away.
Train: The scheduled train is 9.50am from London Marylebone which gets to Seer Green and Jordans at 10.24am. Please also check Chiltern Railways. (http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/)
