The Dopamine Lounge: Work & Focus Session (ADHD-Friendly)
Details
Welcome to The Dopamine Lounge
The co-working session for people who need to get sh*t done but refuse to suffer alone 💯
This is a body doubling / focus session, designed for ADHD and neurodivergent brains (but open to anyone who likes structured vibes and no pressure) 🙏🏻
What we do ✅
- 2-minute intros (“Here’s the thing I should be doing…”)
- Pomodoro rounds: 25 mins focus / 10 mins break
- Repeat until we’ve actually achieved something other than doom-scrolling
What we DON'T do ❌
- Networking / corporate stuff - it's super chill in The Dopamine Lounge.
- Judge! We all get behind on our to-do lists and struggle with focus. It also doesn't matter what you need to focus on - we have had people complete craft projects in our sessions.
- Socialise (excessively)! A lot of us know each other and will have a chat in the breaks, but we are there to work, and we get loads done.
Good for 🤓
- Remote workers
- Self-employed / freelancers
- Admin avoiders
- Essay/CPD/professional paperwork people
- ADHDers who need other humans to function
Please note: We are happy to support young people aged 16+ but attendees under the age of 18 must have a guardian with them.
Not that deep. Not networking. Not chat-heavy.
Just: Sit here. Do your thing. Don’t do it alone. 🫶🏻
Bring 💻
Laptop, notebook, to-do list, noise cancelling headphones, any fidgets you like.
Where 📍
Moxy Hotel MK - the big table in the lobby/lounge area. Look for the pink-haired therapist (Jennie).
If you get anxious arriving alone, message first and Jennie can meet you at the door. Zero awkward wandering.
Cost 💸

What is Body Doubling 💡
It's a simple technique involves working alongside others - either in-person or virtually - to stay on task. Their presence creates accountability, structure, and motivation, making it easier to get things done. Think about when you need to do some chores and someone is standing in the same room or on a video call talking with you - it helps, right!
It's a surprisingly powerful tool, super helpful for neurodivergent people, but helpful for everyone else to focus too. If you're struggling to get started, getting distracted by things at home, or need a bit of accountability - this might be the solution for you!
