Fall Jamboree

Come join Jim and Jeff for a Fall Jamboree at the George Washington Camping Area in Chepachet, RI. It is located on the shores of Bowdish Reservoir. The last time Chiltern was at this park was for a Spring Activities Day Many years ago.
We have reserved a group site that allows up to 20 members to attend. There is hiking, kayaking, and biking within the park, bring your own bike or kayak. Plus the opportunity for a game of Bocci and/or eXtreme croquet.
We made the reservations to start at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 3 and depart by 10:30 AM on Monday.
Continental breakfast Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings is included. Saturday evening will be potluck dinner, bring something to share.
Campground has a shower house with flush toilets that is just a few years old, plus several Port-A-Potti's throughout the campground.
Fee is $60.00 for the three nights of camping payable by cash or check at the event.
As with all state campgrounds no alcohol is permitted.
Directions and finer details will be sent out to all who register about 2 weeks before the event.
We have just found out the leanto has been removed from the group site and it has been replaced with a “shelter”. In real life this is a cabin with 2 sets of bunk beds, sleeping a total of 4 people on beds, more if someone wants to sleep on the floor. The bunk beds are wood, so they would require padding to be comfortable. This cabin space is available on a first come first served basis. That means the first people to contact me at jmee@hotmail.com will get the cabin.
