Sunday Walk: Black Park Country Park and Fulmer
Details
This is a stunning 6 mile walk round Black Park Country Park, one of the region's most beautiful walking venues, set within 530 acres of attractive woodland, grassland and heathland with a centrepiece lake. Two thirds of the way round the walk we'll also veer off to the small village of Fulmer for a quick (optional) coffee and/or water break at the Black Horse. Walking time about 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs, or free if this is your first walk with me.
After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat, drink and/or food at the Black Park Cafe (San Remo Cafe).
Parking and Meeting Point
There's parking in the large, dedicated car park; the Black Park Car Park, Black Park Rd, Slough SL3 6DS.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
