Easter Friday Walk from The Miller and Carter Rickmansworth to Loudwater
Details
This is a glorious six mile walk from the spectacular Miller and Carter Steakhouse at Rickmansworth, walking in large part alongside the River Chess and various other footpaths, bridleways and meadows across the fields, a hamlet, a village green and other rural locations, many of which are shown in the gallery. Walking time approx 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
After the walk there is the option of staying for a drink, a chat and/or dinner at the Miller and Carter Steakhouse. If you wish to book a meal there I'd suggest a time of 2pm. you can book online via this link or call 01923 778377.
Free Parking
There is a large car park at the Miller and Carter Steakhouse. We will be patrons of the venue, so we are welcome to use the car park. If you are not staying for refreshments afterwards, there is also Scotsbridge North Car Park immediately adjacent to the Steakhouse, which is free for up to four hours, which is easily more than enough time for our walk.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
If you are unable to attend please be sure to change your RSVP otherwise our departure will be delayed. If you have any urgent (arrival related) messages within an hour of the start time please post them to the event's Meetup page comments.
