INTRO WALK: The beautiful countryside around St Albans

We will begin in a car park, but not just any old car park: a car park that’s on the grounds of Edmund Beckett, 1st Baron Grimthorpe.

His former estate, Batchwood Hall, became a nightclub, and then became a COVID-19 vaccine centre, helping the elderly and vulnerable.

We will set of from here before walking through much beautiful countryside. And as we return, we will see the home of Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick created some of the biggest movies of the 20th century - many of them very eerie in such a way that they really do invade your subconscious. He was very good at that; must have been a natural talent.
