Join CYW for a relaxed Friday stroll up Coombe Hill to catch the sunset from the iconic viewpoint and unwind after the week. This short, sociable walk is all about de-stressing, chatting, and enjoying the long summer evening. We aim to be back before it's dark, please bring a torch, just in case.

🍴We’ll meet for an optional meal at the Shoulder of Mutton in Wendover at 18:30, we'll eat in the garden if the weather allows. Please contact the leader to reserve a place for dinner. Shoulder of Mutton Menu 🔗

Everyone's welcome to join us for a drink before we start walking at 19:45 on a gentle route ascending through open countryside and the woodland of High and Low Scrubs. At the summit of Coombe Hill, we’ll pause to take in the panoramic views across the Vale of Aylesbury and Coombe Hill easily wins for most dramatic sunset views! We’ll descend the direct route at twilight, reaching Wendover around dusk, with the chance to finish the rest of the evening back at the pub.

🐾 Dogs on leads welcome, and allowed in the pub’s bar and garden 🐾

Parking: If joining us for dinner, Park at the Shoulder of Mutton and remember to enter your number plate at the bar.
Otherwise, please park in Wendover Library Car Park HP22 6DU (free after 7pm) allow 5 minutes to walk to the Pub
